NanoLab Operator Day brings together operators
On May 7th, AMOLF NanoLab hosted an Operator Day for fellow operators from the four NanoLabNL locations in the Netherlands. In the afternoon, groups from Groningen, Delft, Eindhoven, and Enschede arrived to meet their colleagues and share experiences. The program included a mix of lectures, discussions, and lab tours.
AMOLF opens upgraded NanoLab and says farewell to Hans Zeijlemaker
On November 21, researchers, staff, and guests gathered at AMOLF to celebrate two significant milestones: the opening of the newly upgraded NanoLab cleanroom and the farewell of a beloved colleague, Hans Zeijlemaker, after an impressive 44-year career at the institute.
Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) launch celebrated on 11 October
AMOLF acquired a unique instrument: a Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM). With this microscope researchers can now watch materials at the atomic scale and see what is happening over time and under the influence of light. This microscope is open to everyone with an academic or industrial affiliation at an hourly fee. Its launch was celebrated at the Sustainable Energy Materials symposium on 11 October.
Remodeling of NanoLab
Currently, NanoLabNL at AMOLF is being remodeled to further strengthen the facility. Because of the construction work NanoLabNL at AMOLF is closed. The lab expects to re-open on August 1st, with more and more equipment coming online throughout August.
