Our organization

Our researchers operate in 18 Research Groups that are organized into three departments, one for each research theme. This supports effective interdisciplinary collaboration around scientific topics.

For exploring novel fields of research, our researchers need unique advanced equipment, electronics, and software that often cannot be obtained commercially. This is specially designed and made by our Engineering departments.

Our Facilities and Administration departments are equally important, providing the services, expertise, and organizational support that create the conditions for our researchers and the institute as a whole to thrive.
