Our Facilities and Administration groups provide the services, expertise, and organizational support that create the conditions for our researchers and the institute as a whole to thrive.
Our ICT team takes care of all information and communication technology-related matters at AMOLF. Our focus is on providing reliable, secure, and fast solutions for our researchers and the teams that support them.
What
- Operating a skilled helpdesk for all AMOLF employees and students
- Managing a complex, secure, and fast network for over 700 endpoints
- Purchasing, testing, and delivering all software and licenses
- Building and maintaining computing solutions for administrative and research purposes
- Providing communication tools to support ´the magic of AMOLF’

- A team of nine skilled professionals with expertise in workplace and server management, Linux, network infrastructure, storage, internal web applications, and IT security
- On-premises data center for fast and reliable IT
- Over 1 petabyte of data
- High-quality partners such as SURF and Microsoft for cloud services
- Open-source software where possible
- Our own HPC infrastructure (High-Performance Computing) and access to external HPC resources
- Supporting researchers with data management and AI
- 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC)
