At AMOLF, eighteen research groups work together to study the physics of complex matter. This results in valuable insights, new functional materials, and solutions to societal challenges.
Supported by Disciplinary Centers
Our strongly interdisciplinary research is supported by five Disciplinary Centers: LMPV, Chemistry and Spectroscopy, Living Systems, Modern Mechanics, and Nanophotonics.
These centers are dedicated hubs for training and scientific exchange. They are designed to foster the development of expertise, train researchers, and stimulate scientific interaction and collaboration. Disciplinary Centers focus on specific areas of expertise, whereas the research themes cover broader research domains.
