Information Security
Our Facilities and Administration groups provide the services, expertise, and organizational support that create the conditions for our researchers and the institute as a whole to thrive.
The Information Security Officer works with researchers and staff to facilitate the secure use of our IT services and systems.
What
- Ensuring that our research, personal, and financial data is kept safe does not end with a good password. Information security involves the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all our data and systems.
- In addition to our own security guidelines, we have to comply with both national and international laws and regulations on privacy and cyber resilience. The Information Security Officer’s portfolio includes not only technical measures, but also policies, procedures, and training.
How
- Information security can only work if the associated ways of working are tailored to the people and processes they apply to and interfere with existing processes as little as possible. That is why creating a secure solution, for example for exchanging data as part of a collaboration, is something we always do together.
- By offering short training modules, we make sure that everyone has the basics of cyber hygiene in their toolkit.
