Our Facilities and Administration groups provide the services, expertise, and organizational support that create the conditions for our researchers and the institute as a whole to thrive.
Communications
Our Communications team initiates, delivers and supports external and internal communications for and about AMOLF to contribute to its strategic goals.
What
- Initiating and delivering communication initiatives and managing and leveraging communication channels
- Advising and supporting our management team and group leaders on communication aspects of their roles and areas of interest
- Developing, executing and updating the communication plan for AMOLF
How
- Websites (internet and intranet)
- Social media, publications, and press releases
- Communications programs (e.g., PhD defenses and events)
- AMOLF NEWS (the AMOLF newsletter)
- Specific events, such as ‘Wetenschapsdag’ (Science Day)
- Developing and implementing communication plans
Research Information Services
Research Information Services ensures that information for and about research and policy is managed in a findable, accessible, reliable, and secure way.
What
- Storing and managing research information in the institutional repository
- Providing our management team and group leaders with research information to support policymaking and strategic decision-making
- Supporting group leaders, PhD candidates, and postdoctoral researchers in publishing and documenting their research
How
- Providing access to e-resources, physical books, and documents
- Registering and validating research output in the Repository (articles, reviews, PhD theses, etc.)
- Providing and archiving laboratory notebooks
- Providing support and advice, e.g., on (Open Access) publishing, copyright, and Research Data Management (FAIR data: Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable)
