Housing service
On this webpage you will find information about the AMOLF/ARCNL housing service for future foreign employees and interns, coming from abroad.
DUWO housing service
DUWO has reserved approximately 30 furnished apartments for AMOLF and ARCNL at the Carolina MacGillavrylaan on the Amsterdam Science Park. The HR department of AMOLF and ARCNL manages the occupancy of these apartments and can reserve apartments for future employees, interns or guests who meet the criteria mentioned below.
We offer two types of apartments: studios (29 m2) and one bedroom apartments (50 m2). You can view the inventory list. The rental prices range from € 800 to € 925, including utilities. The (one-off) transaction costs (± € 23) charged by DUWO to AMOLF/ARCNL will be passed on to the tenant. Rental contracts are concluded between the employee, intern or guest and DUWO.
If DUWO cannot offer housing, because you are not eligible or no apartment is available, this list of websites may point you in the right direction in order to find accommodation on your own.
Eligibility
Due to rules of the Amsterdam municipality and DUWO, only people who meet all of the criteria below can rent a DUWO apartment:
- You work at AMOLF or ARCNL as an employee, intern or guest
- The DUWO apartment is your first living address in the Netherlands, after arrival from abroad
- You have a non-Dutch nationality
Rental conditions
The DUWO rental conditions for housing. In addition the following rental conditions apply:
- Apartments can be rented by singles or couples
- Pets are not allowed
- The maximum rental contract duration is 1 year, except for PhD-students – who have a maximum rental contract duration of 2 years
- If you want to cancel a rental contract, send an e-mail to housing@amolf.nl as soon as possible.
