Albert Polman appointed member of KNAW

The Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW) has appointed AMOLF-director Albert Polman as member of the Academy.
The Academy promotes the quality of scientific and scholarly work and strives to ensure that Dutch scholars and scientists make the best possible contribution to the cultural, social, and economic development of Dutch society. The members of the KNAW are chosen based on their scientific achievements and are appointed for life. Polman’s research is focused on nanophotonics; manipulating and controlling light at the nano scale.
