Two Vidis for AMOLF researchers

November 26, 2009

Two AMOLF researchers received a Vidi grant from the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO). Femius Koenderink, who has been a group leader at AMOLF since 2008, will use his Vidi to considerably expand his research into optical metamaterials. Dries van Oosten, postdoc in the Group of Kobus Kuipers, received a Vidi for his proposal ‘Atom-light interactions in plasmonic nanostructures’. He will continue his research at the University of Utrecht. Of the 89 Vidis that NWO honoured this year, five were awarded to proposals in the field of physics.
