European prize for professor Daan Frenkel

Daan Frenkel has received an ERC Advanced Grant from the European Research Council. A total of 105 researchers received a grant, among who are three Dutch physicists.

The ERC provides grants for scientific research in Europe. The Advanced Grants are meant for experienced scientists who perform innovative and groundbreaking research. Daan Frenkel is employed by the University of Cambridge and works for AMOLF part time.
