Mischa Bonn, head of the Biosurface Spectroscopy group at AMOLF, appointed as scientific director at the prestigious Max Planck Institute.

As of April 1, 2011, Mischa Bonn, head of the Biosurface Spectroscopy group at AMOLF , has been appointed as one of the scientific directors at the prestigious Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research in Mainz, Germany, where he will be head of the department Molecular Spectroscopy. Bonn will start full-time in Mainz in the fall of 2011, but will continue the cooperation with many AMOLF groups.
Bonn researches the dynamic behavior of (bio-)molecules, specifically on surfaces, using ultrafast molecular spectroscopic techniques.
