Gijsje Koenderink professor at the Faculty of Exact Sciences of the Vrije Universiteit (VU)

AMOLF group leader Gijsje Koenderink has been appointed professor at the Faculty of Exact Sciences of the Vrije Universiteit (VU) Amsterdam as of 1st of November.

Koenderink studied Chemistry at Utrecht University and was promoted at the Van't Hoff Laboratory for Physical and Colloid Chemistry at Utrecht University. After postdoc periods at the VU Amsterdam and at Harvard University, Cambridge, USA, she started the group Biological Soft Matter at AMOLF in October 2006.  In 2008 Koenderink received a Vidi grant from NWO.
