Update 16-02-2010
Dear teams,
The preliminary round is over. We thank you all for your participation, your ideas and the enthusiastic presentations.
The jury has selected team 6,14,16,19,21 and 22 for the final round. We wish these teams good luck in their preparations.
The captains of these teams will be notified by email on the exact procedures concerning the final round.
We would like to mention that two of the three prizes are awarded by the jury, but the third prize will be awarded based on public voting.
We hope to see you all March 16, 15.30h at AMOLF!

Update 03-02-2010
Dear teams,
There are a number of important updates concerning the Invention Contest.
Innovation Cake: Both Monday 8-2-2010 and Tuesday 9-2-2010 11 cakes are available, one cake for each team. These can be picked up at reception from 9.30h. If on Monday 11 cakes are collected, the other teams have to wait till Tuesday.
Deadline: The deadline for submission is 12.00h (Noon), 11-2-2010. Submission is only possible through email
Format: The format document that is provided through the website has to be used
Jury Round:
The jury round starts on Friday 12-2-2010 at 13.30h. Every team has exactly 2.30 minutes for their presentation. There is 1.30 minutes for possible jury questions.
The Jury round is a closed session. Only the jury and the team will be present.
The location is meeting room A.
The exact time schedule can be found at the end of these updates. Make sure your team is present at least 5 minutes in advance.
The Jury members are: Duncan Verheijde, Femius Koenderink, Ron Heeren and Peter Westerhuis (Forces4Growth)
The chair of the jury, Ron Heeren, will announce the five winners of this round during the regular AMOLF coffeebreak, Monday 15-2-2010.
In view of time, no personal laptops are allowed. A regular laptop will be available from Thursday 11-2-2010, 13.00h with Duncan Verheijde. This laptop will be used during the presentations. Copy all your data into: Desktop://ic/team_yournumber. Any problems should be communicated via email or directly with Duncan Verheijde.
The laptop will be tested by the organization Friday at 11.00h in room A, to check if everything is displayed correctly. Please inform the organization if you would like to be present at the test.
Jury rights:
The jury can disqualify teams who did not meet the deadlines and/or did not follow prescribed formats
Decisions of the jury are definitive. Appeal is not possible
The jury will communicate and motivate all decisions
Feedback: The teams that are not selected will receive feedback by the jury before Friday 19-2-2010
